How long will it take to get my order?
Most orders ship within 2-3 business days of processing your order and depending on your location most items should be received within 5 business days from time of shipping. Products that were transferred through the CFC and have been approved are generally shipped within 2 business days of receipt of approval. We receive approvals from the CFC by email, mail and fax. If there are any issues, we will generally email you unless the CFC tells us that they are contacting you directly.
Orders are normally processed within 1-2 business days from the time of ordering though we are always working on shortening that delay of time. Some delays apply for transfer through the CFC for firearms from us to you. Some very infrequent delays may occur; for example if your order is large enough, we may arrange a truck for delivery which takes a bit of extra time or sometimes the product may be way back in behind other product in the warehouse and we may have to move everything to get to it, as much as we try to be prepared, it unfortunately does happen.
Please note that all orders, because of our industry, have to be manually processed, and thus are not automatically processed as like in most industries in e-commerce such as electronics, health products and clothing. Also, large sales and holidays will likely result in slight delays in processing and shipping but we will make every effort to see your order is delivered as soon as possible.
Order Status Updates
You will receive and email with status updates for your order every time there is a change in status. If you need to see the status update of your order, you can login to Canadaammo.com to check the status in your customer account. We make every effort to ship your order within 3 days of receiving the order. In the case of restricted firearms, we ship within 3 business days of receiving the CFC transfer approval direct from the CFC. If you have not received your order within 10 business days of the time you placed the order, please feel free to contact us.
CFC approval for transfer of restricted firearms
All restricted firearms must be transferred from our company into the customers name before we can ship the firearm. This will take anywhere from one day to several weeks depending on a variety of conditions. We usually receive the notification 3-5 business days after CFC has approved the transfer. You can use the reference number on the order found in your Canadaammo.com customer account to call the CFC for a status update, but we are legally unable to ship the firearm until we get the approval from the CFC. You will get an email notification once we receive the CFC transfer approval. If there is a problem with the transfer, we will contact you as soon as possible.
What information does CanadaAmmo.com require for purchase of product?
A firearms license number is required for purchase of all firearms and ammunition; date of birth is required for non-restricted product and the range/club name that you are a member to for restricted product.
Do I need a special license to buy from CanadaAmmo.com?
All ammunition and firearms orders will require the appropriate firearms license. Please call us or email if you have any questions.
Shipments including blank guns and blank ammunition will only be made to those 18 years of age or older.
Can I purchase hollowpoint handgun ammunition in Canada?
Until recently there was a Canada Customs restriction on the IMPORTATION of some types of hollowpoint ammunition. This restriction has been removed and there is now no restriction on the importation or sale of hollowpoint ammunition in Canada.
Do you take phone orders?
We ask that you please make your orders through the website as it helps keep our inventory controlled, lowers our costs which we pass onto our customers, and provides status updates and tracking info along the way. However if you are having any troubles or have the inability to order online we welcome your call at 1.866.960.0045.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Certapay EMT and Direct Deposit at your local RBC Bank branch. Direct Deposit and EMT instructions details will be emailed to you after the order is placed based on your selection.
How much is shipping and handling?
Please read our Shipping Policy before placing an order. All orders over $200 have free shipping, otherwise we charge a $25 flat rate.
Can I add to an order once it's been submitted?
Up until your order is processed you can log in and edit your order as long as you have an account on our site. If you are having troubles or ordered as a Guest please place an additional order and reference your previous order in the order notes section. If the additional order is placed before the first order is processed we will combine them as one.
Can I return items?
We are proud to offer a no-hassle 14 day return policy (within reason) from point of receipt of product. Please contact us by phone at 1.866.960.0045 or by email at email@example.com to take use of this policy. Shipping costs for returns within 14 days are the customer's responsibility. A full credit will be applied as long as the item is in working and reasonable physical condition. All refunds are done by cheque within 30 days.
If the item being returned is a firearm, it must be unfired all returned products must be in resellable condition.
Does CanadaAmmo.com provide any kind of warranty?
We are proud to offer a repair or replace warranty on all Dominion Arms and Norinco products as long as the issue is a warrantable issue. Please contact us by phone at 1.866.960.0045 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to return anything for this reason. A pre-paid return shipping label will be emailed to you. CanadaAmmo.com, at their discretion, will repair the product, unless deemed unrepairable or too expensive to do so, in which case, the product will be replaced with a product of like, kind and quality. A full credit will be applied where no replacement product is available. CanadaAmmo.com does not cover physical, water, improper usage and cosmetic damage or theft, loss and Acts of God or situations where the product was improperly put back together after being disassembled.
